Aseega used in sleep research - Paper in Science

April 24, 2009

Aseega technology has been used in a neuroscience research study performed at the Cyclotron Research Centre, Université de Liège, Liège, Belgium.

In the context of the interactions between circadian and homeostatic systems, which modulate our sleep-wake cycle and variations in cognitive performance, the study investigated how cerebral activity is influenced by the time of day and chronotype.

Part of the study involved sleep scoring. Aseega, used as a fully automated scoring tool, enabled the exclusion of a bias resulting from possible visual scoring subjectivity. Further studies are currently in progress in other research laboratories.
